Daly Waters, the next village, has even less inhabitants than the one before, 50 people live here! Daly Waters is very famous, nevertheless, for the history of its one and only pub.
The oldest pub in the Northern Territory, dates back to 1893.

At that time it was a great gamble to open a pub in this place but the town was on the Stuart Highway and the telegraph line.
A place where it is really worth the stop.

•  Daly Waters Pub, with air-con motel-type rooms at $45/55 for singles/doubles, is not surprisingly the focus of local life.
Ph:(08) 8975 9927.

The pub also has a Caravan Park with tent sites and there's another WWII airstrip with a restored hangar.
